It felt a bit like an arts and crafts moment with the jewels at Alexander Wang’s Spring 2019 RTW collection. The designer known for his edgy street wear style embraced the safety pin and transformed what we deem as an ordinary object into extraordinary jewels. Interconnecting pins made way to stunning almost lacey like bib necklaces that adorned the necks of models and jade discs attached to safety pins created clever statement earrings. The hot ticket item from the show? We predict we’ll be seeing a lot of those embellished bandana surgical masks tricked out with stones and yes you guessed it safety pins!
