Day 6 of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival delivered major red carpet jewelry moments from the premieres of The Phoenician Scheme, Die, My Love, and the Kering Women in Motion Awards. If there was one clear takeaway, it’s the rise of the power necklace. From Joan Smalls stacking not one, not two, but three Pasquale Bruni pieces into a mega choker moment, to Isabelle Huppert’s bold black-and-white De Beers collar and Araya Hargate’s jaw-dropping two Boucheron necklaces, necks did not come to play. But ears refused to be outdone, Jennifer Lawrence worked a striking Ana Khouri ear scape, and Dakota Johnson wore what might be the earrings of the festival.
DIE MY LOVE PREMIERE:
JENNIFER LAWRENCE: Ear cuffs are having a Cannes moment! Julia Garner kicked things off with that bold Messika piece, but Jennifer Lawrence may have just upped the ante, doubling down with Ana Khouri’s Daphne ear cuff and the diamond and emerald Coco earring. Now that’s how you do red carpet edge.
THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME PREMIERE:
EVA LONGORIA: The collar of all collars, Longoria dazzled in a blush-toned Chopard high jewelry necklace that matched her Tamara Ralph Couture dress so perfectly, it looked like it was made just for her. Amethyst and kunzite briolettes added the perfect finishing touch, paired with a Precious Lace diamond ring.
JOAN SMALLS: Three necklaces, one jaw-dropping choker moment? Yes, please! The model stacked three Pasquale Bruni necklaces of rubellites, rubies, and diamonds from the Heart to Earth collection into one mega choker moment. And just like that, she earned a top spot on our Cannes jewelry list.
RUPERT FRIEND: We were hoping for more brooch sightings from the men at Cannes, and thank goodness Rupert Friend showed up with Boucheron’s Roseau brooch—a sleek, reed-shaped pin covered in diamonds gracing his lapel with perfect subtlety.
ARAYA HARGARTE: There’s just something about Araya Hargate in Boucheron’s Quatre Classique Accumulation necklace, paved with diamonds in white, yellow, and pink gold, that brought bold, modern energy to her soft, ethereal gown. A contrast we didn’t know we needed, but loved.
MINA: Japanese singer and Twice member Mina had us doing a double-take in Boucheron’s Rosier Question Mark necklace and matching earrings; those diamond-drenched leaves looked ready to cause a glamorous scene all on their own.
THE KERING WOMEN IN MOTION AWARDS:
DAKOTA JOHNSON: It’s only Day 6 at Cannes, but Dakota Johnson may have already snatched the crown for Best Earrings. Her Boucheron Serpent Bohème Solarité Multi-Design hoops? Love at first sight.
SALMA HAYEK: If you thought Salma’s necklace was Boucheron, guess again! While her ring is from the house, the real surprise is around her neck: a standout piece from Gucci’s newest High Jewelry collection – Labirinti, gleaming with green tourmaline, tanzanites, and diamonds.
ISABELLE HUPPERT: When your movie’s called The Richest Woman in the World, subtlety is off the table. Isabelle Huppert piled on De Beers like a billionaire, stacking the Individuality and Seven Line necklaces like they were no big deal. And those mismatched earrings? Arpeggia and Snow Dance—because why match when you’re that rich!
JULIANNE MOORE: Boucheron on the ears? Check—Julianne Moore wore their Quatre Radiant Edition pendant earrings. But the real power move? Zoom in on the neck. She styled their Pompon necklace as a tie with her suit, boardroom boss meets red carpet glam. A Vendôme Liseré ring sealed the deal.
ARAYA HARGATE: Later that night, Hargate wowed us all over again. We’d been waiting for the debut of Boucheron’s Once in a Blue Moon Question Mark necklace from the Carte Blanche, More is More high jewelry collection, and the Kering Women In Motion Awards was the perfect stage. Set with a 5.28-carat tanzanite and paved with diamonds on white gold, the necklace finally made its dramatic entrance.
She paired it flawlessly with the Plume de Paon pendant earrings, also set with tanzanites, and the Nuage de Fleurs ring featuring a jaw-dropping 27.08-carat oval tanzanite, mother-of-pearl, and more diamonds, all on white gold.
DAISY EDGAR-JONES: No questions here, Daisy Edgar-Jones made a brilliant choice at the Kering Women In Motion dinner, wearing Boucheron’s Eternity Question Mark necklace paved in diamonds and set in white gold. What’s not to love about a jewel that answers itself?
