Bolder-than-ever statement necklaces and brooches were the evening’s brightest stars at the red carpet premieres of ‘The Idol’ & ‘Asteroid City’ at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

‘THE IDOL’ PREMIERE:
JASMINE TOOKES: What’s not to love about model Jasmine Tookes’ gorgeous Chopard statement necklace? The eye-catching piece is comprised of 91.11 carats of diamonds and features a stunning 70.01-carat brown pear-shaped diamond.
ASHLEY GRAHAM: Not only did model Ashley Graham make her red carpet debut on this year’s Cannes Film Festival carpet but it’s also the first time we’re getting a glimpse of this divine and intricate lace-like diamond statement necklace by Chopard. Our only qualm – we wish she let the necklace shine on its own and save the diamond hoop earrings for another event.
THE WEEKND: Talk about major wrist candy! We caught a brief glimpse of The Weeknd’s icy new timepiece – a ladies’ Piaget Limelight Gala high jewelry watch paved with white diamonds and yellow sapphires. Only 8 are available and it’s pointing to a telling trend that men have begun to look at smaller, more refined styles of watches to wear.
VALERY KAUFMAN: We’re slightly obsessed with Russian model Valery Kaufman’s stunning Bulgari Tubogas choker complete with amethyst cabochon, diamonds and turquoise inserts, and matching earrings.
TROYE SIVAN: Forget the traditional floral boutonniere, Sivan donned an Elsa Peretti Amapola brooch in sterling silver with red silk from Tiffany & Co.
COCO ROCHA: Model Rocha knows how to bring the drama to any red carpet event. Case in point – her Escalations necklace of white & pink gold, red spinels, navy and light blue sapphires, Paraiba tourmalines, and diamonds paired with Escales earrings from Chaumet.
‘THE ASTEROID’ PREMIERE:
ADRIEN BRODY: This isn’t the first time Adrien has worn a piece by contemporary jewelry artist and fine jewelry designer Elsa Jin. Aptly named ‘La Danse de nuit’ the sculptural titanium brooch comprised of yellow and black diamonds with a central gold pearl is inspired by the Sogdian Whirl dance- one of the most popular dances of the Tang dynasty where the man dressed in a long dress, engages in an ecstatic dance.
RUPERT FRIEND: The handsome British actor looked like he stepped straight out of a Bond film complete with a white tux adorned with a Boucheron Art Deco-inspired Lavallière Diamants brooch. Our favorite part of his jewelry look had to be the Loup (wolf) ring, with its lifelike appearance carved from a meteorite and decked in diamonds adorning his finger.
SCARLETT JOHANSSON: As the new face of David Yurman, Scarlett chose a pair of Yurman’s Liberty high jewelry earrings inspired by Lady Liberty’s seven-pointed crown, representing the world’s oceans and continents and her message of inclusiveness and freedom.
LORI HARVEY: Harvey’s plunging velvet devore Dundas draped dress was the perfect backdrop to showcase her Messika high jewelry diamond jewels.
CHARLOTTE LE BON: The Canadian cutie took a cue from the men and pinned a black enamel and diamond snake brooch from Bulgari at her throat.
ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY: AÂ Phillipa ring with oval diamond and diamond pave band and two stacked diamond Phillipa ear pieces by Ana Khouri matched seamlessly to the crystal embellishment on the model’s Fendi Couture gown.
JULIA GARNER: Oozing old Hollywood glamour, Gucci ambassador Julia Garner adorned her lobes with a pair of high jewelry white gold and emerald earrings from the Italian fashion house. A mint green tourmaline and diamond statement ring sealed this 1920s movie star look.
FAN BINGBING: Fan has been knocking it out of the park lately with her Cannes Film Festival jewelry looks. Like Viola, the Chinese actress wore a gorgeous feathery gown with black sash detail that was accented with a stunning array of diamond gems from Hassanzadeh Jewelry.
