Diamonds Reigned Supreme at Superbowl 2022

From Snoop’s diamond frame sunglasses to Odell Beckham Jr.’s diamond-studded cleats, this year’s Super Bowl might be one of the flashiest football games on record, proving there’s no such thing as too much bling!

ODELL BECKHAM JR: The wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams rocked a custom pair of $200K cleats for the Super Bowl LVI pregame according to TMZ.com. OBJ teamed up with Dominic Ciambrone, aka The Shoe Surgeon in L.A., and Jason of Beverly Hills to create the yellow gold-colored cleats (symbolic of the Rams’ colors) with 1,494 round brilliant white diamonds on the Nike swoosh sign.

Schlumberger Bird on a Rock brooch with a giant cushion-cut citrine (yellow for the Rams of course!) on his custom varsity jacket! How Much is a Tiffany Bird On Rock brooch you might ask? The price starts at $29,000 and tops out at $59,000 and on average, sells for $44,500.

KENDRICK LAMAR: Odell wasn’t the only one to wear jewels from Tiffany & Co. Lamar decorated his suit with Tiffany Victoria, Tiffany T, Tiffany HardWear, Elsa Peretti, and Tiffany & Co. According to ArchivistsDelight – the patriotic clip design was so popular, Tiffany added the starburst brooch to the 1951 Blue Book Collection

BEYONCE:  Now this is how you attend a football game! Beyonce wore a variety of high jewels from French-based jeweler Messika including a pair of XXL hoops model Kate Moss helped design! We’re hoping Bey came with her own security guard!

SNOOP DOG: Forget Pharrell, Snoop’s diamond-studded glasses were everything! The specs, which are from Nouvintage, are from their Aunt Viv collection and retail for a cool $1400. Editionmdolux interviewed founder and CEO Justin James about Snoop and the glasses:

“Again, I used to work at a Rockstar, and I did everything there when it came to online and marketing. At first, I was like, ‘I’m doing so much,’ but now I’m still on the same page doing so much with my own company, so I guess it got me ready, in a sense. So, I remember Snoop’s people liked the tracksuits, and I had just started my brand. I was like, ‘Yo, hey, man, I got these glasses. Can you give it to Snoop?’ And he was like, “I’ll give it to him, but he doesn’t really like too much stuff.” Then, Snoop proceeds to wear them 35 times in like 63 days, the next following months. So, we were building that relationship. Then, I did a partnership with Dave East, and I guess Snoop saw the popularity of that, and he was like, “Yo, what about me?” At the end of the day, I didn’t have enough money to work for Snoop at the time. So, he came, and we worked out a deal. He really enjoys the glasses. Look at how much he wears them and the fact that he wants to work with a Black-owned company like ours and help us create. It’s an excellent opportunity. I couldn’t find a better ambassador, somebody who represents the brand as “new vintage.” He reinvents himself. So, I think he really epitomizes the brand.”

He even gifted bestie Martha a pair, which she sadly, did not wear to the game!

MARY J. BLIGE: Mary marked the milestone event in diamonds.  Pristine Jewelers created a custom pendant complete with MJB initials, crown, and an ode to Real Love – a 1992 song that Mary recorded for her debut studio album, What’s the 411?

HAILEY BIEBER: We were a little shocked when we found out Hailey wasn’t wearing Tiffany & Co. especially when she was announced as a brand ambassador last year.  Much to our surprise, she wore two diamond necklaces – The Dorsey Rivière with lab-grown white sapphires paired with a decadent diamond statement necklace by Raven Fine Jewelers and diamond stud earrings from VRAI

LEBRON JAMES: The king of basketball showed up to the big event wearing two pieces of Tiffany & Co. jewelry. He wore the new Tiffany Blue Patek Phillipe Nautilus watch paired with the jewelry house’s limited edition knot bracelet – a collaboration with artist Daniel Arsham.

Best Jewelry At The World Premieres of ‘Don’t Look Up’ & ‘The King’s Man’

A trend we noticed as we’re ending 2021 was the return of wearing vintage and antique jewels on the red carpet. Case in point: FKA Twigs, Jonah Hill, and girlfriend Sarah Brady’s jewels at the world premieres of ‘Don’t Look Up’ and ‘The King’s Man’.

‘THE KING’S MAN’ WORLD PREMIERE:

FKA TWIGS: A stunning vision in gold, Twigs wore several pieces of antique jewels from Bentley & Skinner including stacking two Etruscan Revival gold bangles with a Victorian pearl and gold one. A pair of ruby and diamond Huggies were effortlessly combined with a gorgeous set of Victorian garnet and diamond drop earrings. The total cost? Approximately $47,000!

GEMMA ARTERTON: The English actress and producer chose to wear a striking set of jewels from Fawaz Gruosi which included a carved amber and amethyst bangle on her wrist and a pair of chandelier earrings of drop-shaped amethysts set with fuchsia sapphires.

‘DON’T LOOK UP’ WORLD PREMIERE:

JONAH HILL & SARAH BRADY: For the event, the pair turned heads wearing identical baby blue Gucci suits and antique jewelry.  With Jonah, he created his own floral corsage by pinning two antique enamel flower brooches and a c1900 diamond and black velvet pansy brooch to his lapel. A pair of black jade and diamond hexagonal stud earrings graced his lobes. The pièce de résistance? His 1920’s faceted aquamarine bead and pearl necklace by Tiffany & Co – all from Fred Leighton. “We’re that annoying mushy gushy couple that wears matching outfits all the time cause we think we’re cute together,” Brady captioned the Instagram post featuring the picture.

Not to be outdone by her boyfriend, Sarah chose to wear an antique sapphire, diamond, and chalcedony brooch, a silver, pearl, and turquoise swallow pin, and a mid-century French gold feather pin all from Kentshire. A necklace of brilliant Australian opals, blue sapphires, and lagniappe pearls with matching earrings by Wwake completed her look.

Best Jewelry at Baby2Baby 10-Year Gala Red Carpet

Carats for charity! Celebs from Kate Hudson and Mandy Moore to Jennifer Garner and Nicole Richie donned their best jewels to attend the 10th annual Baby2Baby gala.  The event raises millions of dollars for the nonprofit which distributes items to children in need across the country.

KATE HUDSON:  All eyes were on Kate’s Plume de Paon pendant earrings, set with diamonds on yellow gold. She paired the dramatic danglers with a Serpent Bohème L motif ring, paved with diamonds on yellow gold, and a Serpent Bohème ring — all from Boucheron.

NICOLE RICHIE: How could we ever forget Richie’s last epic ear game of antique Neil Lane earrings at the 2019 Baby2Baby Gala? Her jewels took our breath away then and this year was no different.  Not only did the Simple Life star stack a couple of dynamite cocktail rings from London jeweler Anabela Chan, but Richie also donned a diamond and emerald ear cuff with Chan’s Paraiba Orchid earrings — a combo that we think garnered the best earring look of the night.

MANDY MOORE:  Moore chose a chic pair of vintage diamond drop earrings in 18k valued at $2,750 from Beladora Jewelry. But her best accouterment to the gala was her dangling heart ring — an ode to her son Gus — who is often nicknamed by Moore as “Goosey”, hence the name ‘Goose’ on her Dolce Amore ring!

KERRY WASHINGTON: Are you getting major Diahann Carroll vibes from Washington’s red carpet look or is it just us? We just love the way those Samer Halimeh diamond earrings fit in perfectly with the mirrored embellishments on her Prada dress. Wouldn’t you agree?

JENNA DEWAN: While we love the soft pale blue floral brocade gown the star wore to the event, her Candy Ice Jewelry Droplet earrings with mismatched lemon and tangerine-colored gemstones added a sweet and colorful touch to Jenna’s full bloom look.

HILARY DUFF: Hilary’s fiery look came complete with sparkly diamonds a la Rahaminov Diamonds Jewelry. While we admire the diamond rings, we give kudos to Duff for taking advantage of her multiple piercings and wearing not one, not two but four pairs of earrings! The result? A classic curated ear look to fall in love with!

RACHEL ZOE: A die-hard David Webb fan, the superstar stylist paired her plunging pleated Grecian style metallic dress with Webb’s Tuxedo Sautoir of black enamel and diamonds. The price tag on that statement piece? A cool $235,000!

MINDY KALING:  Kaling kept things classic with Candy Ice Jewelry’s chic black sapphire and diamond cocktail ring and a pair of  Le Vian black diamond earrings.

MIRANDA KERR: What to wear to a gala? Well if it were up the model, it would have to be diamonds!  Rahaminov Diamonds Jewelry pear drop earrings, line bracelet, and three-stone diamond ring, added just the right amount of sparkle to Miranda’s soft pastel lace look.

JESSICA ALBA: When it comes to Alba’s jewelry look for the gala, we’re grateful that the actress kept her earring look minimal by choosing a pair of diamond stud earrings from Neil Lane. The studs were a perfect pairing to the stacks of bold gold and diamond David Webb bracelets on each of her wrists.

JENNIFER GARNER: When it comes to Garner and her jewels we weren’t expecting anything flashy and were pleasantly surprised with her choice of emerald and diamond drop earrings and lariat necklace from Cartier that she chose to accompany her LBD.
