JEWELS FROM THE RUNWAY: Christian Dior Fall 2018 Couture

Dior designer Maria Grazia Chiuri drew inspiration from animals once again  (see Dior’s Cruise 2019 collection ) and created an enchanted menagerie of gems for Dior’s Fall 2018 Couture show. Mischievous monkeys and birds were perched on branches accented with pearls and brightly enameled flowers that hung from chain drop earrings. Velvet chokers with magical unicorns adorned models’ necks and colorful statement rings graced their fingers as they walked down the catwalk. What we truly love is how Maria took the popular DiorTribales earring and replicated that asymmetrical effect (small pearl rests on the ear while the largest peeps out subtly from behind the lobe) with the tops of the earrings.Christian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureChristian Dior Fall 2018 Couture Christian Dior Fall 2018 CoutureOlivia Palmero was one of many celebs spotted at the Couture show and  wore Dior’s Amulettes d’Amour choker and necklace layered with the house’s lucky locket star necklace. JEWELS FROM THE RUNWAY: Schiaparelli Fall 2018 Haute Couture

Gilt embellished hand buttons and rock crystal and turquoise nuggets that served as cocktail rings were just some of the delightful, quirky and dreamy details one can expect from a Schiaparelli show. We fell in love with a gorgeous crystal festooned moon clutch and those delightful coral branch butterfly brooches! – a Surrealist symbol for change and a recurring signature motif for the house of Schiaparelli. Mandy Moore and Melissa George were snapped at show. The ‘This Is Us‘ actress looked pretty in pink and wore Schiaparelli’s hand holding a padlock pendant and heart earrings. Mandy’s stylist Cristina Ehrlich teased us on Instagram with the selection of jewels she got to choose from. Also joining Mandy was ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Melissa George who opted to deck out her suit with an iconic Schiaparelli gemstone lobster brooch. According to the Daily Mail, Melissa has been flashing a very large diamond ring around Paris – perhaps a new engagement will be announced very soon? We’ll have to wait and see!

JEWELS FROM THE RUNWAY: Givenchy Fall 2018 Couture

If you don’t know who Clare Waight Keller- Givenchy’s newest Couture designer is then let us refresh your memory. She undoubtedly is the biggest celebrity wedding designer of 2018. Why? Because Keller created Meghan Markle’s gown drawn from a 1964 dress photographed in Vogue magazine on Hubert Givenchy’s longtime muse Audrey Hepburn for her wedding to Prince Harry.

There was a lot of pressure as Keller showcased her second Couture collection for the house yesterday in Paris. The designer adorned the models with several silver sculptural pieces of jewelry that included futuristic hand bracelets, headpieces, collars and mobile earrings. Each piece of jewelry had an organic feel and Thierry Mugler vibe to it especially the robotic  neck/breastplate collars. Our favorite jewelry piece? Those mobile earrings which will be seen in every magazine come Fall.
