Jewelry Details from Moschino and Prada SS20 RTW Collections from Milan Fashion Week

MOSCHINO:  First there was The Price is Right and now designer Jeremy Scott has delved into the world of art and chosen Pablo Picasso and his muses as inspirations for Moschino’s Spring 2020 runway collection. Jeremy, fashion’s pop provocateur, showcased everything from paint brushed button earrings and strands of beaded necklaces to bull motif-based jewels (representing matadors /bullfighting from Spain where Picasso was born) and massive molten gold collars and cuff bracelets strewn with gemstones.Jewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Moschino SS20 RTW CollectionPRADA: What better way to celebrate the season of Summer than with the sea, sand and of course shells! Designer Miuccia Prada elevated the standard strand of pearls by stringing together gorgeous shells intermixed with pearls and creating Summer sea-worthy statement necklaces. Rattan crab and bird earrings added a playful and colorful splash of color to the collection.Jewelry details from Prada SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Prada SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Prada SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Prada SS20 RTW CollectionJewelry details from Prada SS20 RTW Collection

Jewelry Details from Versace SS20 RTW Collection – Milan Fashion Week

When JLO wore that iconic jungle themed print dress from Dontella Versace at the 2000 Grammy Awards that moment launched a searching frenzy on the internet which ultimately resulted in the birth of Google Images. Fast forward to 2019 and the brand’s Spring 2020 collection. Dontella decided to capitalize on that hysteria and infuse it into a new Miami themed collection. What resulted were jewels that packed a tropical punch. Leafy greens and blues were used alongside fiery orange red crystals which encrusted bracelets, oversized hoop earrings and lariat necklaces that traveled down to the belly button. Hibiscus flowers and palm tree motifs were turned into accents on chokers, cuff bracelets and brooches and the iconic repetitive Greek key pattern we’ve come to associate with  Versace  were embossed on slinky gold chains and sleek ear cuffs.

JW ANDERSON: Upon interviewing JW Anderson WWD magazine reported that the designer was inspired by Canadian artist Liz Magor, whose conceptual work was the central focal point of the show. Anderson stated that he wanted to explore “the idea of how we perceive things, how we look at textures and how we see jewelry, how jewelry becomes armor or becomes more sensual and how it can be worn in a different way.”

ROLAND MOURET: According to JCK Magazine designer Roland Mouret tapped jeweler Marla Aaron and her iconic locks and Fordite pieces to accessorize his SS20 collection.  “When I saw the fabrics planned for the show…I knew we had to take what we have done with Fordite and blow it out,” Aaron said on IG. “Like, make them crazy.”
