ERDEM: Designer Erdem Moralioglu has found yet another woman from the past to inspire his SS20 RTW collection. First it was Princess Orietta Pogson Doria Pamphilj and now Tina Modotti, an Italian-born silent movie star and radical communist who inspired the outfits and jewels for his collection.

PORTS 1961: Can’t you tell that designer Karl Templer was inspired by Hawaiian prints and the colors from Paul Gauguin’s Tahitian period art work? Templer splashed hot pinks, deep sea blues and lush greens on chunky acrylic chain link necklaces, gemstone drop earrings and marbelized stone rings for the brand’s SS20 RTW collection.

CHRISTOPHER KANE: Quirky glitter filled plastic amoeba shaped earrings were the highlight of Kane’s SS20 RTW show. Huge chunky crystal cuffs and collars that sparkled on the necks and wrists of the models strutting down the runway also caught our eye.

MARC JACOBS: Jacobs closed out New York Fashion Week with an eclectic mix of jewels to hit the runway. Mod 60s metal pendants were mixed with a kitsch and cool collection of enameled necklaces that featured cowboy action figures and delicate flowers. Our favorite piece in the collection? The dancing skeleton earring with giant pearl head and emerald eyes.

3.1 PHILLIP LIM: It was all about sustainability for designer Philipp Lim. According to J

ZIMMERMANN: Inspired by a Sixties’ surf documentary called The Endless Summer we can see designer Nicky Zimmermann’s love for the sand and sea in the line’s Spring Summer 2020 collection. Chunky gold chains adorned with large gold shark teeth, huge slices of geode and Puka shells conjure up dreamy beach days under the sun.
