MILAN FASHION WEEK:
BEJEWELED AT MOSCHINO:
Inspired by Salvador Dali’s Melting Clocks, Jeremy Scott started the fashion frenzy with timepieces that looked like they’d partied too close to the heat source. Like wearable Dali dreams, the brand’s nameplate and peace sign pendant necklaces became the ultimate victims of time’s delicious distortion. Midway, the jewelry evolved into jewel-hued wonders, exuding an aristo-punk princess aura. Necklaces look like they’ve been swiped straight off high-glam models’ necks, showcasing Moschino’s signature excess that’s more than intentional – it’s a statement. Nothing was safe from being drenched in jewels, turning the collection into a decadent dream. Excess isn’t just embraced here; it’s celebrated.
GIANT GEMSTONES AT LUISA SPAGNOLI:
From emeralds to rubies, citrines to oranges, and pinks to olive greens, it’s as if every gemstone in existence decided to throw a party on the runway at Luisa Spagnoli’s FW23 collection. Those gemstone-shaped earrings, cocktail rings, and cuff bracelets were like wearable treasures straight from a jewelry genie’s lair, bringing a burst of vibrant hues to the runway.
LONDON FASHION WEEK:
BLOOMING EAR POWER AT TOVE:
Tove’s FW23 show took flower power to a whole new level with their audaciously fabulous floral earrings. Models strutted down the runway flaunting colossal floral blooms hanging from their ears that were either forged in metal or playfully strung with pearls.
ODE TO DIETRICH OVER AT DAVID KOMA:
David Koma’s FW23 jewelry collection is a head-turning homage to the iconic Marlene Dietrich, a dazzling blend of old Hollywood and retro glamour. Stepping straight out of a time capsule from the 1930s and 1960s, the pieces exude a captivating charm that’s as timeless as it is tantalizing. Koma’s genius knows no bounds – he’s turned resin-dipped Marlboro cigarette butts, thanks to jeweler Emily Frances Barrett, into avant-garde art, scattering them among delicate pearls and cascading chains. The audacity doesn’t stop there – the show’s grand finale featured a bejeweled cigarette, a cheeky nod to Dietrich’s signature smoky allure. Koma has reinvented the rules of chic, transforming unconventional elements into high fashion with a daring flair that’s as addictive as it is unforgettable.
SWEETNESS AT SIMONE ROCHA:
Simone Rocha is a master of her craft and this season she’s serving up her signature style with a dash of Victorian grandeur and a sprinkle of sweetness. Her beaded and crystal chandelier earrings are reimagined with a rebellious edge that’s as unexpected as it is exquisite, this time, adorned with dainty satin bows and signature ‘S’ & ‘R’ crystal letters.
