JEWELS FROM THE RUNWAY: Georges Hobeika & Guo Pei Fall 2018 Couture Collections

GEORGES HOBEIKA: The Lebanese designer was simply fascinated with bows for his Fall 2018 couture collection. Bracelets were formed with swirling ribbons that wrapped up models’ arms and were covered in diamante, coral/ white cabs and amethyst stones. We are always excited to see what Guo Pei comes up with and her Fall 2018 couture collection did not disappoint. Only showcasing earrings, the jewels themselves were miniature works of art. Inspired by Gothic architecture primarily churches and their silhouettes, one can see elements of a stained glass window and domes from a cathedral,  all seemingly spun together with threads. Truly magical.
