Our Milan Fashion Week runway coverage concludes with the jewelry from the Giorgio Armani SS20 RTW collection. Entitled Earth and held in the courtyard of his property on 11 via Borgonuovo in Milan (hence the number eleven on the hoops) Armani paid homage to Mother Nature’s natural elements, their colors and movements. The jewels centered around a palette of soft light pinks, greens for foliage, etherial blues to muted earthy greys and browns. Necklaces, bracelets, and earrings took form in organic shapes decorated with delightful insects from dragonflies to butterflies. Wavy translucent and tinted acrylic bracelets and earrings mimicked ripples in water and waves from the sea. While the materials Armani used may not be state-of-the-art sustainable the designer infused the intent for planet awareness and protection in the collection.

PRADA: What better way to celebrate the season of Summer than with the sea, sand and of course shells! Designer Miuccia Prada elevated the standard strand of pearls by stringing together gorgeous shells intermixed with pearls and creating Summer sea-worthy statement necklaces. Rattan crab and bird earrings added a playful and colorful splash of color to the collection.
