The Best Jewelry at the ‘Lion King’ Premiere in LA

Beyonce joined fellow friends from the likes of Tiffany Haddish to Yara Shahidi and brought enough glitz and glam for everyone at the LA red carpet premiere of The Lion King Tuesday night.

BEYONCE: Some might say that this was a little too over the top in terms of the multiple layered necklaces, earrings and heavily embellished crystal jacket all from McQueen. But hey if Bey plays and voices Nola the Queen of the Jungle in the movie why not? The songstress wore a handful of crystal embellished jewels like McQueen’s Creole earrings to their round Riviera crystal necklace which was spotted at this year’s Cannes Film Festival red carpet. HALLE BAILEY: One half of singing duo ChloeXHalle and our future Ariel wore a bold and eye-popping pair of Nausheen Shah X Monica Sordo earrings. TIFFANY HADDISH: The comedian brought the color to the carpet with her delightful Anabela Chan Neiredes earrings and matching ring. We love!

MEGHAN TRAINOR:  The singer  looked delightful in a leopard print dress paired with Alex Soldier 18k gold Swan drop earrings and a David Alan Jewelry double trapezoid ring.

NORMANI: The young singer sparkled wearing three different diamond huggies and ring from Anita Ko which were the perfect compliment to her heavily embellished gold dress. YARA SHAHIDI: Yara elevated your basic hoop earrings with diamond encrusted ones from  David Yurman.

  • If you love Vanderpump Rules you know that VPR fave Brittany Cartwright got married to Jax Taylor. But did you know that he shelled out $25,000 for something blue specifically an enormous blue sparkler for Brittany to wear to the wedding? NY Post is stating that Brittany sported a 19-carat emerald-cut aquamarine ring worth a whopping $25,000. According to celebrity jeweler Kyle Chan who designed the ring “It represents happiness and wealth, and most of the princesses when they get married they also have their something blue — sometimes aquamarine, sometimes sapphire,” he continued. “So I told Brittany, ‘You’re getting married in a castle with a princess theme, you gotta have something blue, you gotta have an aquamarine ring just like a princess.’”
  • Looks like things are getting serious for Princess Beatrice and  Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The princess was spotted wearing $6.8K Cartier ‘Juste un Clou’ bracelet on her wrist. According to Tatler magazine, the pricey bling was a gift from the 34-year-old multimillionaire real estate magnate and eagle-eyed fans noticed that the letter “E” was etched into the head of the nail. How romantic!

Royal expert Neil Sean is confirming that the Duke of Sussex personally had the band remodeled to give his wife a special keepsake to hold on to when she is away from her family. What’s more is that he had celeb jeweler Lorraine Schwartz add diamonds and emeralds in the inner circle of the eternity ring. They’re to signify her close family, her new family which is Harry, herself and baby Archie.

Rihanna Shines in Cartier on the August 2019 Cover of Harper’s Bazaar China

Can we just admire how gorgeous Rihanna looks on the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar China? This past Monday the magazine released not one but two covers -one where the singer wore a green gown designed by J.P. Gaultier for the English version and a navy pleated Iris Van Herpen gown for the Chinese version.

The covers and editorial spread were the work of fashion photographer Chen Man and editor in chief Simona Sha and fashion chief editor Wei Tian. According to Harper’s Bazaar China‘s own Instagram account, the concept behind the cover and inside spread was to combine a Western-style icon like Rihanna with Eastern aesthetics.

But our love affair with this spread goes beyond the clothes, makeup, and fashion and focuses squarely on the jewels – those amazing million dollar Cartier jewels that Rihanna wears with effortless ease.  Scroll down to see highlights of the extraordinary Cartier pieces worn by the Barbadian beauty below.

PATIALA NECKLACE CARTIER 1928 FOR Maharajah of Patiala, Yadavindra Singh.

Weighing almost a 1000 carats, Patiala necklace was made for the Maharaja in 1928 by Cartier, the bib-like Art Deco necklace featured five rows of diamond-encrusted platinum chains and over-sized gems. It included as its centerpiece the famous De Beers diamond, a cushion-cut pale yellow diamond weighing 234.69 carats.
