GUCCI: Another highlight from Milan Fashion week were the jewels from the Gucci RTW FW19 collection. Gem encrusted finger rings, cross pendant necklaces and gold metal ear covers and ear brooches were seen on the models strutting down the catwalk. Turns out that the latter, according to creative director Alessandro Michele, were inspired by the work entitled Fashion Fiction #1 from artist Eduardo Costa seen in American Vogue’s February 1968 issue (shown below).

RIHANNA: Who was spotted going to one of the most prestigious and private Oscar parties in LA -namely Jay-Z and Beyonce’s second annual Gold Party? None other than the Barbadian beauty moghul and singer herself- Rihanna! RiRi highlighted her ruffled animal print dress with some bold jewels, namely jewelry designer Emmanuel Tarpin’s black matte aluminum shell earrings trimmed with diamonds and black enamel and diamond cocktail rings from David Webb. Let’s not forget those bracelets! We’re enamored over those massive onyx and diamond cuffs by the Hammerman Brothers.

MARNI: Marni’s creative director Francesco Risso’s focus for fall had an edgy/ erotic feel to the jewelry. Thick gold and silver chain chokers, some with dog tags attached, gave off a fetish vibe to them. What intrigued us though, were the tiny metal box pendants – what secret would you hide in there?
