Whether you love them for their high wattage sparkle or classic elegance, diamond jewelry has always been a red carpet staple. Here are our top picks in no specific order of the best diamond jewelry of 2018.
Beyonce: How could you not forget Beyonce’s custom $4 million Lorraine Schwartz diamond geometric earrings from the Grammy Awards? We wondered why she wore the sunglasses but if you’ve got 70 carats worth of diamonds plus another 35 carats for the center pear-shaped stones, you too would need shades to shield your eyes from all that blinding bling!
Zendaya: Still remains one of our best jewelry looks at the 2018 Oscars. She wowed us with her vintage diamond suite of jewels from Bulgari.
Shay Mitchell: She has had one hell of a great red carpet run for 2018 but the jewelry look that stood out for us was her Messika diamond ear cuff she wore to the post Golden Globe parties. 
Elsa Hosk: The VS model gave us some major Marilyn Monroe diamonds are a girls best friend vibes at Cannes this year. Elsa was picture perfect in a 5 strand diamond necklace and matching bracelet from Chopard. 
Katy Perry: We’ve fallen for this combination of diamond jewelry that Katy wore to Disney’s ABC TV Press Tour. Her Colette diamond choker went seamlessly well with her edgy diamond APM Monaco ear cuff.
Julianne Hough: Sometimes the best jewels are worn after the Oscars. Julianne proved this when she wore a diamond Deco stunner with jade accents from Lorraine Schwartz to the Vanity Fair Oscar after party. 
Lady Gaga: Gaga had everyone talking about these Chopard earrings at the Toronto International Film Festival. Although we saw these beauties before (Charlize Theron wore them to the Oscars) you have to admit Chopard wins hands down for creating one of the best pair of diamond earrings we have seen on the red carpet.
Rihanna: It’s not called the Diamond Ball for nothing. The 30-year old Fenty Beauty creator wore over 100-carats of diamond jewelry from Chopard. Our favorite piece from this droolworthy look? Her eleaborate diamond bracelet which is actully a secret watch!
Cate Blanchett: Another Chopard diamond jewelry look we fell in love with this year. Cate rocked a serious pair of diamond fringe earrings with bracelet at the Cannes premiere of Capharnaum.
Cindy Bruna: Diamonds and drama? Check! Model Cindy Bruna worked these amazing and flawless diamond ear climbers by De Grisogono at the Burning premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Lais Ribeiro: At the amfAR Gala during Cannes model Lais Ribeiro wowed us with her dramatic collar of diamonds from Messika. The necklace, called Persian Drops, is from Messika’s Once Upon a Time High Jewelry collection.

Another Met Gala hair jewelry pick was Lynda Carter. The star brooch by vintage Bulgari from Eleuteri was a knockout addition to the Wonder Woman’s red carpet ensemble.
Thandie Newton made our list simply because the star showed up to the Star Wars premiere with antique diamond star brooches from Harry Winston. Need we say more?
The diamond dragonfly brooch from Tiffany and Co. that Sarah Paulson wore at the 2018 Emmy Awards had us swooning with glee.
Honorable mention goes to Allison Williams at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards. The actress wore a delicate Asprey blue topaz and diamond daisy necklace from Beladora Jewelry in her hair.
How could we not forget Blake Lively and her black opal, Paraiba and sapphire suite of jewels from Lorraine Schwartz during her A Simple Favor promo tour? 
Cardi B stole our heart when she stepped out onto the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards wearing over 200 carats of Colombian emeralds from Lorraine Schwartz. Her cropped hairstyle and purple-hued gown were the perfect backdrops to showcase the vivid green intensity of those knockout emeralds. 
Honorable mentions: We can’t forget Sarah Paulson and her hand carved tourmaline and diamond floral and leaf earrings by Irene Neuwirth that she wore at the UK premiere of Oceans 8
Another mention goes to Allison Janney who always wears large colorful earrings. We decided to include our two favorites of Janney – Her Nikos Koulis diamond and emerald chandeliers at the 2018 Spirit Awards and the emerald and diamond drop earrings from Jared Lehr at the 2018 Emmy Awards
