Who Wore What Jewels

With Gucci as the sponsor of this year’s Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s ninth annual Art+Film Gala, it cames as no surprise that the majority of the celebrities would wear gems from the Italian fashion house’s latest Hortus Deliciarum high jewelry collection.

SIENNA MILLER:  Miller certainly made an entrance with her Gucci Hortus Deliciarum lion head necklace! Set with purple-pink sapphires, lagoon tourmaline, spinel, opals, chrysoberyls, purple sapphire, mandarin garnet, chromo tourmaline, and diamonds, the stunning necklace made a dramatic statement around Miller’s neck. ZOE SALDANA:  The most colorful jewelry goes to… Zoe Saldana’s rainbow of a confection of Gucci jewels which included Hortus Deliciarum lion head earrings in yellow gold, set with aquamarine, yellow beryl, fire opals, amethyst, London topaz, peridot, and diamonds.  A lion’s head ring of diamonds accented with a rubellite stone in its mouth and a serpent solitaire ring with tanzanite and diamonds dazzled on her digits! GRETA GERWIG: Pink spinel and white diamond earrings from Nikos Koulis paired alongside a dramatic sapphire and diamond Sutra Jewels statement ring perfectly complemented Greta’s colorful Gucci tiered sequin gown.BILLIE EILISH: A performer at the event Billie styled her logo denim-Esque suit with a bold gold lion link choker and several rings from Gucci’s Le Marché des Merveilles collection including a very cool coiled snake ring encrusted with blue topaz and sapphires.SALMA HAYEK: The only thing more impressive than Salma’s bun was her dangling diamond flower and insect chandelier earrings and bracelet from Gucci’s Hortus Deliciarum collection. CYNTHIA ERIVO: Looks like Cynthia loves her David Webb jewelry!  We first spotted the beauty wearing Webb to the Governors Awards.  Talk about ear candy! Her earrings appear to be similar to David Webb’s Green Hill earrings which feature carved jade panels surrounded by diamonds, gold, and accented with sapphires. She topped off her look with Webb’s Prism ring worth $21,500.LAURA DERN: Dern wore our favorite earrings of the night – a pair of Miraggio pendant earrings of white gold, emerald, diamonds, and sapphires from Buccellati. Stacks of bracelets consisting of the brand’s Morgana cuff, Macri AB cuff in black gold (DLC treatment on white gold) with white gold bezels set with diamonds and Etoile bracelet of 18K intertwined gold with diamonds were just the finishing touch needed to Dern’s Gucci gown. REGINA KING: It was Old Hollywood glam for Regina as the actress was dripping in diamonds from Bulgari including their iconic Serpenti diamond ring which wrapped around her finger.BRIE LARSON: While we’re used to seeing massive rings and earrings on the red carpet it was a refreshing change to see Larson’s choice of delicate pearl, diamond flower and double G Gucci earrings paired alongside a delightful diamond flower ring and serpent bangle.
