Our final cover of the 2019 Met Gala allowed us to share with you some of the coolest and campiest jewels spotted on the pink carpet.
JEREMY SCOTT: The King of Camp and Moschino designer Jeremy Scott commissioned a unique piece from famed jewelry designer Ben Baller. The matching grill to his over-the-top bejeweled suit featured 12 carats in solitaires and diamonds with flooded diamond pave borders. Note the personalized King of Camp stamp engraved on the inside.

KERRY WASHINGTON: While we adored Kerry’s 200-carat black diamond headpiece and stud earrings by Lorraine Schwartz it just couldn’t beat the rings she wore on her fingers. We just loved the powerful message – Negativity is Noise that the Scandal star promoted.

LALA ANTHONY: The Camp theme was all about the quirky and the unconventional and Lala proved just that with her custom DIME-ond ring from XIV Karats. Get it?

CARDI B: We had to do a double take when the rapper hit the pink carpet as we almost missed her $250,000 ruby-encrusted nipple covers on her Thom Browne gown at Monday night’s Met Gala. The nipple covers were comprised of 44 carats worth of rubies and according to The Hollywood Reporter who interviewed Cardi’s stylist Kolin Carter states “Kollin came to Stefere and asked if we could create ruby nipples for Cardi B. — of course, we said, ‘Yes!’ Next challenge was to find the right size and shape to create the perfect pair of ruby nipples for Cardi,” Larpin told THR. “Now we think everyone should have a pair of ruby nipples.” The gems were created by Stefere Jewelry in collaboration with Thom Browne.

LENA WAITHE: The writer, producer, and actor also made a statement with her jewels. While Waithe’s Pyer Moss suit featured stripes partially made up of lyrics from Diana Ross’ “I’m Coming Out” and Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” among other LGBTQ icons, it was her custom buttons and cuff links from Johnny Nelson Jewelry that caught our eye. Lena’s gold buttons featured custom black portraits of 8 LGBTQ icons that included Paris Dupree and RuPaul paired with black power fist cuff links.

ELLE FANNING: According to her stylist Samatha McMillen actress Elle Fanning was ‘MaliMiu Barbie’ complete with a necklace festooned with personalized charms created by Miu Miu. If you look closely you’ll notice a portrait of Elle from her appearance at the ‘Somewhere’ premiere and the exact date of the Met Gala!
