Days 4 and 5 of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival saw the red carpet take a stylish detour straight into edgier territory. Jewelry choices leaned bolder and more unexpected, from Julia Garner’s single diamond ear clip by Messika (yes, just one and it packed more punch than a full statement necklace) to not one, not two, but three diamond chokers from Tiffany & Co. But it wasn’t all diamonds. Pearls made an elegant comeback, sneaking in on Chinese actress Zhou Ye and Emily in Paris star Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, reminding us that pearls, diamonds, and colored stones remain timeless players in the world of standout red carpet jewelry.
EDDINGTON PREMIERE:
NATALIE PORTMAN: Dare we say it? This might be one of Portman’s best red carpet jewelry looks of the year. Her dreamy Dior gown, a reimagined creation from the house’s 1950s archives, was perfectly paired with Tiffany & Co.’s Wave necklace featuring over 90 carats of diamonds. Add those white gold diamond earrings and a ring with 18 carats more, and you’ll get a vintage-modern match made in couture heaven.

ANGELINA JOLIE: Angelina Jolie kept it classic but never boring. Dripping in white diamonds from Chopard’s Red Carpet collection, she paired dramatic teardrop earrings with a baguette-set watch totaling 21.41 carats and topping it off? CARLA BRUNI: Model icon Carla Bruni has been a Cannes staple for as long as we can remember, and this year, she brought the glamour again. ZOEY DEUTCH: Zoey Deutch, star of Nouvelle Vague, served up a full dose of 1950s Old Hollywood glamour, pear-shaped diamond drop earrings, and a jaw-dropping Tiffany & Co. three-strand diamond necklace featuring over 390 diamonds. Recognize it? Lady Gaga wore it to Elton John’s 2022 Oscar bash, and Emily Blunt brought it back for the 2024 Oscars. Now it’s Deutch’s turn to shine.
