From red carpet to runway
Chanel showcased its latest cruise collection this week and it was especially poignant as this was the first collection sans Karl Lagerfeld. Entitled Destination Cruise the collection paid homage to the places where Gabrielle Chanel spent time with her lover Boy Capel and showcased Gabrielle’s favorite jewelry pieces such as the quilted and Maltese cross cuff bracelets and strings of pearls that have become so iconic to the Chanel brand.

The Chanel Metiers D’Art show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC was an Egyptian fantasy come to life. Inspired by Cleopatra, Pharaohs and the hieroglyphics of Ancient Egypt, designer Karl Lagerfeld wove his magic alongside Goossens and Desrue jewelry to create extraordinary gems that encompassed scarabs, featured layered logo beaded necklaces and elaborate collars to dynamic cuffs that were all festooned with azure blue accents inspired by the Egyptian heavenly stone and gem of the Pharaohs- Lapis lazuli.

DOUTZEN KROES: How we love emerald and diamonds! – a favorite combination! The stunning model was on hand to celebrate the jewelry brand’s newest collection in Paris. Doutzen spotted with brand ambassador and actress Jessica Chastain wore a gorgeous selection of emerald and diamond pieces from Piaget’s Sunlight Escape High Jewelry line.

The redhead actress who always seems to surprise us with her jewelry selection twinkled on the carpet with a wonderful pair of Estee earrings by Jennifer Behr.
