It has commenced! One of our favorite jewelry red carpet events of the year – the 71st annual Cannes Film Festival has begun. Let’s cut to the chase and show you all the fabulous sparkling and gem worthy jewels.
CATE BLANCHETT:Â When we found out that Cate was this year’s president, we could not contain our excitement. Cate is one of our absolute favorites in terms of jewelry style and so it came as no surprise that she would blow us out of the water on opening day. Wearing a black lace Armani Prive gown, she wore a stunning pair of orchid earrings from Chopard’s Red Carpet collection.
ARAYA A. HARGATE: A style staple at the Cannes Film Festival, Araya was red hot on the red carpet. She wore a stunning pair of diamond earrings, a diamond and pearl flower statement ring and a dramatic diamond wrap bracelet from Chopard. If the bracelet seems familiar to you, Rihanna wore it last year to the screening of ‘Okja’.
KRISTEN STEWART: Kristen is also on the Cannes Film Festival jury this year. The Chanel ambassador wore a diamond lion brooch from Chanel’s L’Esprit du Lion collection. Fun fact: Gabrielle Chanel was born August 19, 1883, and as a Leo, the lion motif played an important part in the brand’s jewelry collection. She topped off her look with a Chanel fine jewelry diamond bracelet. 
JULIANNE MOORE: Another lady in red, Julianne Moore looked sensational in a red feather cape and gown from Givenchy Haute Couture. She accented her red carpet look with simple yet stunning geometric style diamond drop earrings from Chopard.
FAN BINGBING: The princess has arrived! The Chinese actress and De Beers ambassador floated on the Cannes carpet in a teal confection of a gown. Her De Beers diamond necklace and matching earrings completed Fan’s princess red carpet moment.
