With such a strong debut at Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture Fall 2019 collection from new creative director Daniel Roseberry we were excited to see what he had up his sleeve for the jewelry at his RTW debut for Schiaparelli’s Spring 2020 collection. Daniel brought to life a jeweled menagerie complete with gold and polychromatic serpents, crystal-studded iguana brooches and golden octopuses with crystal tentacles encompassing models’ heads as they walk down the runway. Whimsical facial jewelry, which looked like they were comprised of hastily drawn gold squiggles of a pen, showcased the strength of Daniel Roseberry’s inventiveness which leads us to wonder where his imagination will take us next.

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI: The designer once again collaborated with Chopard for his Spring 2019 Couture show. Exquisite High Jewelry pieces of diamonds, sapphires, and citrines seamlessly combined with Valli’s sexy cocktail dresses and crystal-embellished gowns. The one fabulous detail that stood out was Valli’s runway which was strewn with thousands of pounds of glittering Swarovski crystals which mimicked the twinkling of Paris’ night sky.
