Jewelry Details from Schiaparelli & Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2023 Couture Collections

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fall 2023 Couture collection had heads turning – literally! Crowns adorned with a cheeky twist gave every outfit a regal edge, making sidewalks feel like royal runways.

Meanwhile, Schiaparelli’s Fall 2023 Couture collection turned the runway into a gallery with art-inspired jewelry that’s anything but ordinary. From gilded ears to surrealistic body part adornments, each piece was a wearable masterpiece that blurred the lines between fashion and fine art.

Don’t miss the jewelry details from Valentino & Fendi Fall 2023 Couture Collections!

SCHIAPARELLI: Schiaparelli’s Fall 2023 Couture jewelry just took surrealism to a whole new level! Anatomical toes made a cheeky return, winking at tradition, while gilded ears turned into show-stopping coat clasps – because why not adorn yourself from head to toe? This season, it’s all about embracing your inner art connoisseur. Picture this: 24k gold leaf with the visage of a Schiaparelli artisan, turning accessories into wearable masterpieces. Brooches and cuffs channel the cherished shapes of Claude Lalanne, offering a tasteful twist on sculptural elegance. And if you’re a fan of fine art, you’re in for a treat: Daniel Roseberry’s collection nods to luminaries like Lucian Freud and Yves Klein, with bold volumes inspired by Klein’s iconic cobalt blue. But the pièce de résistance? Wooden beaded arms and necklaces evoke artist’s mannequins and Alberto Giacometti sculptures, turning the runway into a whimsical art gallery. Schiaparelli has once again redefined adornment, proving that when it comes to jewelry, there are no limits – only artistic imagination.

JEAN PAUL GAULTIER:  In the whirlwind of less than three years, Jean Paul Gaultier’s guest designer program has turned fashion on its head, spawning some of the most buzzworthy and viral haute couture moments. This time, all eyes are fixed on Paco Rabanne’s creative director, Julien Dossena. In an interview with Vogue.com, he unveiled his vision: “I wanted a feeling of characters you pass in the street in Paris and I wanted to make all of them queens, each with a different crown.”

Dossena’s masterstroke of blending equality with diversity was nothing short of genius – adorning his Parisian “characters” with diadems and jeweled circlets they might’ve stumbled upon at a market. From haute couture renditions of laurel wreaths to a nod to neo-classical statues dotting the cityscape, Dossena turned the sidewalks of Paris into a runway of regal rebels. The result? A spectacle that proves, in the realm of fashion, every street corner can birth a queen, and every diadem, a crown for the taking.

JEWELS FROM THE RUNWAY: Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 Couture

Is smoking passé? Not if Jean Paul Gaultier has anything to do with it.  We would expect nothing less from the rebellious designer’s new Fall-Winter collection which was aimed at breaking all the rules, advocating for freedom of expression and versatility across all genders. Don’t forget this is the man who first put men in skirts on the runway in the ’80s.

Models rocked braided locks of hair hanging from singular hoop earrings and ear cuffs that resembled oversized ear piercings. Necklaces and bracelets were decorated with glowing acrylic cigarettes and logo chokers were shown with flashy rhinestone and chain bib necklaces.  Regardless if you love to smoke or not – he did feature a gauze mask with the glittery words that read ‘No Smoking’ for all you antismokers out there, you have to admit that Jean Paul put a clever and kitschy spin on the traditional cigarette.Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureJean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 CoutureSupermodel Naomi Campbell made an appearance at the show and we were dazzled by the stunning yellow and white diamond bauble on her ring finger from Ara Vartanian (similar to the one shown below.)
