Kieran Culkin’s dazzling Georgian foil-backed amethyst Rivière necklace from Fred Leighton and Ed Sheeran’s diamond-edged tie are leading the charge into a new realm of neckwear sophistication.

But that’s not all—brooches are also rewriting the rulebook. No longer confined to lapels, they’re making themselves at home on waistbands. Remember when Timothée Chalamet effortlessly rocked sweats adorned with Cartier pins at the 2021 Met Gala? Well, it seems he was onto something! And why settle for just one brooch when you can layer up like Jeff Goldblum and Leon Bridges? It’s a case of the more, the merrier! LEWIS HAMILTON: Hamilton soared to the top of our list with an ensemble inspired by the remarkable tale of John Ystumllyn, one of Britain’s trailblazing Black gardeners. Decked out in regal finery, he sported Briony Raymond Collection’s fancy yellow diamond cluster earrings and an Étoile diamond triple wrap ring, adding a touch of vintage glamour with a 1960s unheated yellow sapphire and diamond ring.

The Formula One driver also showcased Burberry’s Thorn Pave necklace and bracelet, complemented by an Alex Moss Asteroid ring, co-designed with @kamilxabbas.

With not one, not two, but three stunning brooches— including a Ruser diamond and sapphire pin, a floral masterpiece featuring a central cabochon ruby, and an antique emerald pearl and enamel brooch—Leon truly piled on the jewels, and we loved it! ANDREW SCOTT: The Netflix’s Ripley star, Andrew Scott, shared with Esquire magazine how his Met Gala look aligns with this year’s dress code, ‘The Garden of Time’.

According to Scott, it was all about the accessories. “We’re doing jewelry from Boucheron. We’ve got these intricately made insect brooches that look incredible – they’ll look like they’ve landed on my shoulder. It’s all very playful.”

Those brooches  – a set of bee pins paved with diamonds on yellow and pink gold dating back to 1948 from Boucheron’s private collection.

He confessed to the mag that wearing such fine jewelry does make him anxious. “I have to be really careful – I don’t want to lose any of these insects, or someone to smoosh me thinking there’s a [real] wasp on my shoulder.” At least it would be a story, right?”

He topped his look with a Boucheron Fern necklace, all in yellow gold, from 1956, and gold rings from his mother.

ROSS MATHEWS: E! Met Gala red carpet correspondent Ross Mathews made a bold statement with an array of vibrant David Webb brooches adorning the length of his lapel. With so many dazzling choices, it was difficult to pick a favorite, but the ‘Bird Of Paradise’ brooch stole the spotlight. Featuring a cabochon star sapphire, carved emerald, and ruby leaves, this masterpiece, valued at a cool $128,000, emerged as our top pick.

CHARLIE HUNNAM: Not only is he handsome but he’s right on trend by opting out of the traditional bowtie at the Gala with his combination of a diamond and onyx Art Deco brooch and diamond and pearl platinum necklace, both from Neil Lane Couture.
