Cartier: The Exhibition Media Preview

The lure of sparkling diamonds drew actress Naomi Watts to her native homeland to promote the National Gallery of Austalia’s latest endeavor Cartier – The Exhibition.

The gem worthy exhibit which officially opens on Thursday and runs till July 22nd will showcase over 300 pieces of Cartier jewels including items from some of Cartier’s best-known clients ranging from Wallis Simpson, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly to Mexican film star Maria Felix, whose diamond encrusted serpent necklace is seen below,  as well as five pieces from the Royal Collection and the Queen. The highly anticipated exhibit even got exposure in Vogue Australia magazine.

According to Watts who was interviewed at the exhibit by The Australian stated “Walking through the exhibition you see not only these fantastic pieces but the story behind who wore them and when and what was happening at that time, which really makes it so much more powerful.”
