Snake-themed jewelry slithered its way onto The French Dispatch’s 2021 Cannes Film Festival premiere courtesy of Bulgari. Another noteworthy jewelry trend that was spotted on the red carpet – doubling up earrings on a single ear as seen on Maggie Gyllenhaal and Melanie Thierry.
ANNA CLEVELAND: Our favorite Serpenti Bulgari moment came from model Anna Cleveland and her delightful double High Jewelry snake necklace of gold, diamonds, and emerald beads.
NATASHA POLY: Always a favorite at the Cannes Film Festival and making her first appearance on the carpet, Poly wore Chaumet’s Lueurs d’Orage ring from the High Jewelry collection Les Ciels de Chaumet, alongside earrings from the Liens D’Amour and Torsade de Chaumet collections.
MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL: We’re crowning Gyllenhaal as the master of the ear game at Cannes. Why? Just take a look at how she styled her L’Heure du Diamant and Precious Lace High Jewelry diamond earrings! Fire!
NIEVES ALVAREZ: Like Cleveland, the Spanish model chose a wonderful Serpenti High Jewelry necklace from Bulgari. What we loved about this necklace is its distinctive diamond and black enamel chevron pattern that mimicked scales. Yellow and white diamond High Jewelry stud earrings completed her look.
IRIS LAW: Jude Law’s daughter Iris wore a delicate pair of Archi Dior earrings. For this piece, Dior’s Creative Director of Fine Jewelry Victoire de Castellane drew inspiration from lace used in some of Dior’s Couture pieces. A large rose Dior Bagatelle ring topped off her Cannes jewelry look that was worth over $106,000!
KAMBREE DALTON: Another Cannes jewelry trend we’re seeing on the red carpet is the ear cuff as demonstrated here by model Kambree Dalton and her Feuilles d’Acanthe asymmetrical gold and diamond ear cuff from Boucheron.
MELANIE THIERRY: Melanie Thierry put her own spin on these sumptuous diamond earrings from Chopard that were first worn on the Cannes red carpet by Jodie Foster on opening day. Featuring pear-shaped diamonds and weighing a total of 22.01 carats, the actress stylishly doubled up the earrings on one ear.
TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET: A silver Cartier Love ring, Juste un Clou and Clash de Cartier bracelets were the only jewels Chalamet needed to accessorize his sleek silver jacquard tuxedo by Tom Ford.

DYLAN PENN: Talk about a statement necklace! The dramatic High Jewelry necklace of deep blue sapphire and diamond teardrops edged in diamonds made for an unforgettable jewelry moment for Sean Penn’s daughter! What we loved is that her stylist Rachel Zoe wisely chose a gown with a deep plunging neckline to showcase this incredible piece of jewelry from Chopard.
