As the Met Gala wrapped up, the stars were eager to attend the numerous after-parties! We scoured the internet for jewelry looks and there were only two that not only caught our eye but were worthy of a post – the first one belonged to Rihanna and the second to Gabrielle Union.
So what did the two ladies have in common? They both wore epic antique jewels. Let’s break down both looks, shall we?
We all know Rihanna is a risk-taker when it comes to her jewels! More is more and one ring or necklace is never enough for the singer and entrepreneur! So when she popped up to her own Met Gala after-party we were patiently waiting to see what jewels she turn up wearing next and we were not disappointed!
Talk about shining bright like a diamond! Dripping in diamonds from Lang Antiques, her right wrist was adorned with three bracelets that were worth around $155,000!
Bracelets left to right:
French Art Deco diamond platinum black enamel bracelet – $42,500
Mid-Century Modern Platinum diamond bracelet – $45,000
Wide Art Deco diamond bracelet – $67,500
And we are not even close to being done- there’s more!
Riri also wore another two diamond bracelets on her left wrist including a wide Art Deco platinum diamond bracelet worth a cool $35,000 and a stunning $28,000 Art Deco platinum bracelet.
And she pulled a Met Gala à la Timothee Chalamet jewelry move and wore an Art Deco navette shaped onyx and diamond brooch worth $8,750.00. The total cost of the jewels – well over $250,000.00!
But that wasn’t the end of Riri’s sparkle! Rihanna wore two phenomenal diamond rings and an intricate diamond choker from Gem Palace.
And just when you thought she was done, she topped off her look with Niko Koulis’ divine 18k white gold, black enamel, and diamond tassel Oui necklace retailing a cool $273,300.00. Talk about dripping in diamonds!
Another standout afterparty Met Gala jewelry look came courtesy of Gabrielle Union. After killing it in Messika diamonds on the red carpet, Gabrielle hit up the after-parties giving us a very chic jungle /zebra velvet print look that meets Prince /Purple Rain vibe in her Conner Ives outfit. But what caught our eye was that flash of sparkle around her neck.
Turns out that flash came from an epic early 19th-century Russian antique amethyst and aquamarine necklace from Briony Raymond New York!
So we just had to reach out and get a picture of the divine gold & gemstone collar to share with you. You’re welcome!
