“I didn’t keep that,” Kim revealed. “I was pregnant with [daughter] North [West], still married to him, and in order to divorce him, he said I had to give him the ring.

But here’s where things get even messier—Kim claims she actually paid for the ring!

Khloé quickly interjected, pointing out that Kim was the one who actually bought the ring in the first place.

“But I bought it!” Kim fired back. “He contributed a fifth [of the price].”

A Diamond Fit for a Magazine Cover

Let’s rewind to when Kim and Kris graced the cover of People Magazine. At the time, Kim gushed about her massive 20.5-carat ring, which featured:
💎 A 16.5-carat emerald-cut center diamond
💎 Two trapezoid-cut side stones totaling 4 carats
💎 Designed by Lorraine Schwartz

“[Designer Lorraine Schwartz] always listened to what I would want and the shapes I love,” Kardashian told People at the time. “I had said I loved an emerald cut.”

Don’t forget in 2011, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries got married in August, but their marriage ended just 72 days later in October.  It wasn’t until Kim filed for divorce on October 31, 2011, citing irreconcilable differences.
The divorce was finalized in April 2013.

So What Happened to the Ring?

According to The Daily Mail, Humphries ended up with the $2 million ring in the divorce, arguing that their marriage was a sham and Kim didn’t deserve to keep it.

But here’s where things take another twist: In 2013, the ring mysteriously resurfaced at Christie’s in New York City.

The auction house listed it as the “property of a gentleman”. And while they didn’t name Humphries as the seller, the ring bore an uncanny resemblance to Kim’s.

The Final Sale

The ring finally sold for $749,000, with a portion of the proceeds reportedly going to an unnamed charity.

Kim may have lost the ring, but she’s winning in the long run. As for Kris? Well… let’s just say the resale value wasn’t exactly what he hoped for. Wonder who ended up with it?
