Best Jewelry at 2021 NAACP Image Awards

While the NAACP Image Awards was a mostly virtual affair that didn’t mean that stars like Regina King, Viola Davis, and Cynthia Erivo held back in terms of glitz, sparkle, and glamour. Jewels ranged from bold and modernistic gold collars and cuffs to a very poignant ode to Elsa Peretti courtesy of actress Tracee Ellis Ross. TRACEE ELLIS ROSS:  Giving us major Maria Felix vibes Ross’s bold gold  Snake necklace and Bone cuffs, according to her stylist, Karla Welch, were an homage to designer Elsa Peretti who died on March 18.

VIOLA DAVIS: Bringing a huge dose of color to the virtual NAACP carpet, Davis wowed us with her Boucheron Pompon pendant earrings and Fuzzy the Leopard Cat cocktail ring.

ANTHONY ANDERSON: We were expecting a killer brooch from the Black-ish star and Anthony did not disappoint. Looking dapper in his white tux, his stylist Courtney D Mays chose Boucheron’s Art Deco diamond arrow brooch created in 1909.

REGINA KING: With the copper-colored hue of her Oscar de la Renta gown and her delicate Irene Neuwirth gemstone earrings King was easily the favorite on many a red carpet list.

ALICIA KEYS:  A delicate pair of $13,600 Cartier’s Agrafe earrings were all the singer needed to pair with her Versace frock.

ANGELA BASSETT:  Bassett always brings it in terms of jewelry to any red carpet event and her NAACP Image Awards look this year was no exception. Her Peruffo earrings and Wonder Woman chic Chimento Jewelry’s Supreme and Bamboo gold and diamond cuffs were the perfect accouterments to her gold breastplate from Graham Cruz.

JURNEE SMOLLETT:  Nakard Jewelry’s $1600 Triple Line earrings in green onyx were the icing to Smollett’s amazing Couture gown.  Rings from John Hardy Cinta Collection and Cathy Waterman sparkled on the actress’s fingers.

CYNTHIA ERIVO:  Was Erivo hiding a secret at the NAACP Image Awards? Possibly! Maybe it was with her personalized $2,500 14K gold Grand diamond frame crystal quartz Secret diamond signet ring from Mateo New York.

JANELLE MONAE:   Janelle loved her silver Jennifer Fisher jewels so much, she tapped the jewelry designer for this year’s red carpet look. Going the golden route Monae wore Fisher’s Jamm and Weightless Hollow Tube chokers and stacked on the jewelry designer’s Globe, Jamma, and Weightless Hollow Tube cuffs as well as Fisher’s Signet, Stacked Double Essential, and Double Lily rings.

MARSAI MARTIN: With that dramatic feather applique on her LBD  it was wise of the Black-ish star to stick to Forevermark Jewelry’s simple but elegant cluster diamond studs earrings, Cornerstone Eternity Band, and Tribute collection stacking rings. She truly sparkled.

ISSAE RAE:  Marsai wasn’t the only one to wear Forevermark Jewelry. The Insecure actress chose a pair of delicate diamond stud earrings and their new Avaanti Open Diamond ring to create an ethereal and elegant NAACP Image Awards red carpet look.
