It has commenced! One of our favorite jewelry red-carpet events of the year – the 2023 Cannes Film Festival has begun! We’re on the hunt for radiant ruby,  luscious emerald, and sparkling sapphire gems! Be prepared to see bold parures, dazzling diamonds, and statement-making jewelry but let’s cut to the chase and show you all the fabulous sparkling and gem-worthy jewels from day one.

ELLE FANNING: Looking like a silver siren, Cartier global ambassador and Cannes red carpet style star Elle Fanning wore a Cartier Tradition Perles de Diamants necklace comprised of polished beads that are flush-set with 79 round brilliant cut diamonds and paired with a gorgeous Cartier Tradition Ruban bracelet circa 1930 and an Indomptables de Cartier ring.

FAN BINGBING: The Chinese superstar is always a red-carpet delight. Word has it that the impressive emerald and diamond suite of jewels she wore above is personally owned.

GUAN XIAOTONG: The Chinese actress wore a spectacular Monsieur Fred Inner Light Chance Infinie Faith in Destiny necklace, which features a 28.72-carat pear-shaped sapphire and matching ring.  If you look closely, you’ll see the universal sign of infinity and an allusion to the number 8 done in diamonds and onyx.

NAOMI CAMPBELL: We’re not sure if Naomi needed to shield her eyes from all those cameras flashing or from all that radiant light coming from her diamond jewels! The supermodel was dripping in diamond gems from Chopard.

CATHERINE DENEUVE: The French beauty chose sapphires and diamonds to wear to this year’s Cannes. The actress adorned her wrist with a Cartier Tradition Sunburst bracelet of 18k yellow gold, platinum, sapphires, and diamonds from  1946 and decorated her earlobes with a pair of Ultramarine de Cartier High Jewelry earrings and a matching bracelet watch.

JOHNNY DEPP:  The Pirates of the Caribbean star wore a very apropos Sailor’s Knot earring from Emmanuel Tarpin.

GONG LI: Li’s Imperio de Cartier High Jewelry necklace of 18k white gold, emeralds, onyx, and diamonds added just a flash of color to her all-black Cannes ensemble. Extra sparkle came courtesy of her Adamantin de Cartier High Jewelry earrings, Dalhia de Cartier bracelet, and a Cartier Collection Panthère ring.

ALESSANDRA AMBROSIO:  The model and Cannes Film Festival red carpet staple gets our award for the coolest jewelry look – a parure featuring Pomellato’s never-before-seen ‘Skyline’ one-of-a-kind necklace of 128 spinels ranging from classic red to smoky grey that mimics a Milanese sunset.

UMA THURMAN:  Thurman’s amethyst, diamond, and ruby High Jewelry Chopard jewels were the highlight of her Dior Haute Couture Cannes red carpet look.

FARHANA DODI: Who had our favorite jewelry look? That prize goes to Dubai Bling star Farhana Dodi and her custom Shangri-La floral spray diamond ear cuff by Renu Oberoi Luxury Jewellery.

CATHERINE ZETA-JONES: We’re slightly obsessed with Catherine’s divine ruby and diamond jewelry from Chopard, especially her jaw-dropping chandelier earrings.

POM KLEMENTIEFF: We can always count on actress Pom Klementieff to give us an edgy diamond red carpet moment. Helianthe de Cartier High Jewelry earrings were paired with a Cartier Collection necklace, circa 1990, of 18k white gold, platinum, and diamonds

HONAYDA SERAFI: Saudi designer Honayda Serafi is the first woman from the Kingdom to become an official ambassador of Chopard and she made an impressive Cannes debut with an enormous pear-shaped emerald pendant necklace surrounded with pear-cut diamonds.
