With the release of her first Spanish language single in nearly a decade,’ De Una Vez’ Selena Gomez sat down with Vogue Mexico for an epic photoshoot featuring jewels from high jewelry houses like Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier to NYC jewelry brand Mateo. When asked what role she sees herself taking on, she shares, “That’s the thing, we are all shaped by circumstances, and I am not sure what the future will be, as the evolution of our lives isn’t predictable. What I do hope is that I continue to be curious about life, challenge myself and learn from my mistakes – of which there will be plenty.

Gracing the digital cover of Elle Magazine actress Jodie Turner-Smith stuns in Gucci gems and dishes us some sage advice when it comes to clothes and jewelry during the pandemic. “This idea of dressing up for you, of putting something on to enhance your own mood, just to do what you want to do and not necessarily even leave the house—because right now we’re not even doing that. It’s like telling a story about how you feel with what you wear,” she says. “We all need a little bit of carefree energy right now.” Couldn’t agree with her more!

The collaboration between Rihanna and the acclaimed artist is an extension of Simpson’s ongoing project reinterpreting images of Black women who have posed the pages of Ebony and Jet magazines. For the cover, Riri wears Thelma West diamond drop earrings and a stunning diamond collar from Michelle Ong for Carnet. A crown of 19th-century lithographs of crystals is piled on her head – a result of Simpson’s work which recalls the images of women under beauty-salon lamps or donning mountains of curlers to set a hairstyle. The photograph is similar to Simpson’s Earth & Sky #5, #10, #16, and #24 (2016) shown below.

Her everyday staples? A fab pair of sneakers and cute jewelry! King also divulges to the magazine that she changes up her earrings due to wearing a mask and that she doesn’t wear hoops as often anymore. And when asked if she prefers diamonds over pearls, like Marilyn Monroe, King picks diamonds. After all, they are a girl’s best friend!
The ring which features two trapezoidal stones flanking the center diamond as well as dozens of smaller stones throughout the intricate setting was inspired by Paris landmarks including the Grand Palais and the Eiffel Tower. Congrats Paris and what a rock!
