As the first major awards show of the season, the 2020 Golden Globes kicked off the night with a major show of high jewelry. Everything from statement necklaces like Zoey Deutch’s 58.69 -carat sapphire cabochon pendant necklace from Harry Winston to one-of-a-kind colored gems. Here are our picks of the best gems of the night part one.
CYNTHIA ERIVO: $3 million in jewels from Bulgari, including this high-jewelry necklace in platinum with 1 pear cabochon sapphire totaling 40.40 carats.
GRETA GERWIG: The Little Women director sparkled while wearing antique diamond jewelry from Neil Lane.
TAYLOR SWIFT: The singer nominated for Best Original Song for Beautiful Ghosts from the Cats movie wore black opal and sapphire drop earrings from Lorraine Schwartz
ZOEY DEUTCH: While we’re used to seeing diamond statement necklaces we just fell in love with Zoey’s 58.69-carat sapphire cabochon pendant necklace with 22.93 carats of diamonds, set in platinum, courtesy of Harry Winston.
MICHELLE WILLIAMS: Do we spy costume jewelry? Look closely and you’ll notice that Michelle Williams wore Louis Vuitton’s orchid brooch from their Spring 2020 collection. She also gave us a peek at her pearl and diamond engagement ring.
SOFIA VERGARA: The Modern Family actress brought the ear candy to the Globes carpet with her light brown diamond hoop earrings that featured over 180 carats from Lorraine Schwartz
CHARLIZE THERON: The Bombshell actress paired her Maria Tash diamond earrings with her Tiffany & Co. diamond, sapphire, and emerald necklace.
NICOLE KIDMAN: Nicole had a golden moment on the red carpet thanks to her one-of-a-kind gold chandelier earrings from Hanut Singh.
REESE WITHERSPOON: The Morning Show star looked white-hot in her custom Roland Mouret dress that she paired with a geometric gold and diamond cuff and diamond earrings totaling over 8 carats from Tiffany & Co.’s Blue BookCollection.
JENNIFER LOPEZ: Jennifer has a thing for emeralds at awards shows as she wore the gemstone at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. According to the Hollywood Reporter, JLO’s statement necklace was just released by the house and features 21 cushion-cut Colombian emeralds and 58 diagonally set pear-shaped diamonds for a total of 76.36 carats. She paired it with a vintage 1959 emerald and diamond bracelet from Harry Winston’s archives

BUSY PHILIPPS: Speaking of rubies and diamonds Busy was on hand to support her friend and Golden Globe nominee Michelle Williams on the red carpet. She wore an array of antique jewels. From Beladora Jewelry Busy wore a $12,500 Gemlock spaghetti strand gold and ruby and diamond dome bracelet, and ruby beaded and diamond tassel earrings that belong to a set worth $68, 500.00. Busy also wore a ruby & gold square link bracelet and a purple & yellow sapphire, ruby & gold ring from Neil Lane Couture.

CHARLIZE THERON: We expected Charlize to wear Dior gems after all she is one of their spokespeople. She surprised us by stacking on two Dior rings – a cameo and a bird one as well as Fernando Jorge’s Disco diamond ring. She turned to jewelers Maria Tash and Delfina Delettrez for her two edgy and mismatched earrings.
LAURA DERN: Dern elevated her floral ensemble with several pave diamond link gems from Pomellato’s Tango collection.
